Dear Friend, Let me ask you an important question. Please... be open and honest with yourself as you answer it. How happy are you with your body... and more specifically... your breasts? Are you unhappy with the way your breasts look... and it's affecting how you feel about yourself? Do you feel that your breasts are a frequent source of frustration for you? Are there things you'd like to change about them? Maybe your breasts are too small... and you don't feel they're proportionate to the rest of your body... and it's causing you to be shy or insecure? Maybe your breasts are a little saggy and you're not happy with them... so you'd like to lift them up and get rid of some of that drooping? Maybe you lost some breast size when you lost weight... and you want your larger breasts back again? Maybe each of your breasts are different sizes... and it's causing you to feel self-conscious about yourself? Maybe you lost some of the fullness and perkiness in your breasts after your pregnancy and you'd like to have your "before or during pregnancy" breasts back? Maybe you need a breast revision because of a previous surgery... so you can repair your breasts AND your self-confidence? Maybe you were born with some type of "breast irregularity" and you just want your breasts to look and feel "normal"? Maybe you want to feel more feminine... and you're tired of having the chest "of a 12-year-old". Maybe you want your breasts bigger "just because you do!" And that's okay, because that's how I was too... Also in my case... which may be "worse-case" scenario... Maybe you've caught your man's eyes wandering... And you secretly fear he might lose physical attraction to you and might find someone else and LEAVE you... because you don't have the kind of body... or more specifically... the breasts he's attracted to? If you can answer "Yes" to any of the above... then I have some very important (and very exciting) news for you. If you're feeling frustrated because of your breasts and you've been considering a breast enhancement procedure... but you just don't know where to turn for real answers... then this will be one of the most important messages you ever read. My name is Brenda and I completely understand how you feel... because I've been in your situation. As a woman who had small A-cup breasts myself... I know how depressing it can be. I can speak from personal experience... as a woman... you want to feel good about your body. To be more accurate, you want to feel great and excited about how you look in the mirror. I mean, who doesn't, right? Well... if you're like most women I talk to who are in some way unhappy with their breasts, they feel completely self-conscious with that aspect of their figure. If you're experiencing this right now, it's probably become somewhat of a dark cloud hanging over you. After all... so much of being a woman is associated with our breasts. Boobs aren't just meaningless fat and tissue on our chests. They have a lot to do with our sexuality, beauty, power, maternity, and femininity. That's why I really want to help you learn from the experience I had with breast enhancement surgery and also let you know how thrilled I am that I finally got this part of my body AND my life handled... once and for all. I'd like to share my "before and after" success story with you... to make sure YOUR procedure goes smoothly and easily... AND you get the BEST results possible. Over the last few years... I've come to realize that so many women struggle with confusion, fear, nervousness, and anxiety during the breast augmentation process... just like I had. When they go through the process blindly and DON'T KNOW WHAT TO EXPECT... they get freaked out... or they worry and get upset because they don't understand what's going on with several common occurrences that are happening. When I realized this, I made the decision to do WHATEVER it took to help more women gain insight into the entire process and what they needed to know to make their breast augmentation as easy as possible. Through my research, I found that women who are not completely happy with their breast augmentation experience make 2 BIG mistakes. 1. They fail to research and choose the best surgeon possible. And now... after several years of conversations with women and plastic surgeons... I want to CLEARLY outline what the EXACT STEPS are in the breast augmentation process... and the questions you need to know the answers to. This site will help you UNDERSTAND what to expect... so you can make informed, confident decisions regarding the procedure. This way, you no longer have to wonder if you're making all the right choices. So you won't have the stress, confusion, nervousness, and anxiety most women have when dealing with the unknown. You'll be much more confident, comfortable, relaxed, and ready. Better yet... you can learn ALL of this in just a few minutes... and you'll be the most informed and ready you can possibly be. How much easier do you imagine things will be for you when you know EXACTLY what to ask your surgeon... and you know EXACTLY how to handle each situation as it comes up? And how much more comfortable will you feel knowing what you're going through, each step of the way? This is about helping you decide what you want... it's about feeling better about yourself... so you're no longer self-conscious about your breasts. Many of the women I talked to wanted people to notice that they LOOKED better... but they didn't necessarily want people to notice they had breast augmentation. In other words... they wanted a breast augmentation so they'd look better on the beach and more attractive in a bikini... but they were also worried about how they'd be perceived at work or by their friends and family. They wanted to look better and feel better about themselves... sexier, more attractive, and younger... but they didn't want to be judged, looked at as "objects", or made out to be "fake". They'd rather be complimented on having a really nice body... and not specifically complimented on having "nice breasts". Many women told me they were able to tackle their fears and go through the process feeling more comfortable by bringing someone with them... like a husband, boyfriend, relative, or close friend. This made them more certain and more positive. Have you ever wanted to get a "fresh start" in your life... where you finally had the confidence, happiness, and peace of mind you really want? Take it from me... it's an incredible feeling when you can leave all the worries about your breasts behind you... and start out with a new sense of well being. When you get the chance to make a fresh start... life just seems to be better and more exciting from that moment forward. That's exactly what I felt like after having my breast augmentation. It truly felt like a "fresh start" because my life changed so much for the better. In fact... "I've finally gotten my life back" is the first thing I said to myself after I had my surgery. If you feel that a fresh start is exactly what you need... and you feel that having your breasts done would do that for you... then it's time to give yourself what YOU need. This is something you can do for YOU... it's something you can do that makes you feel great. Take a few minutes and imagine... it's just weeks from today and you finally have the breasts that are absolutely perfect for your
body. You're looking better and feeling more confident... so you feel more attractive, sexier, and more outgoing... you no longer feel insecure and self-conscious. Imagine how you'll fill out that new swimsuit. Walking the sand with your new 2-piece bikini... with a new feeling of pride and confidence that men notice and women want. Maybe it would ignite the passion in your current relationship, making it more special and more romantic. Maybe it would increase your self-esteem and help you to be more confident and help you find the love of your life? Or the job of your dreams? I want you to experience that feeling when you truly feel happy with your body... when you have the confidence and self-esteem you want... when you're feeling sexy, beautiful, and desirable - personally, romantically, professionally, and in your everyday life. Realize that you can have all of this in just a few weeks from now
— even if you're just getting started. There's no doubt that if you can fix a major challenge in your life, it can solve a lot of other problems for you at the same time. Would having this surgery make your life experiences better? Would fixing your breasts help you increase your happiness and confidence... so you feel better about yourself? If you feel as though you're always thinking about what it would be like to have the breasts you want... if you find yourself experiencing frequent fear that you'll never have the body you desire... You can change that right now. Something magical will happen for you. I know because I've experienced it myself. It's magic because you'll see exciting changes happening in ALL areas of your life. You'll feel as if a giant weight has been lifted off your shoulders. You're smiling more, you're more positive, and more upbeat... you see an incredibly bright future ahead of you. You suddenly feel more confident and more outgoing... other people will approach or notice you more.
You finally feel so much better about yourself... and because of that... your new radiating energy helps to attract other positive things into your life. Whether it's a new job, friends, or a mate... having this surgery can often make you feel so good... Many women have told me they feel their life is so much better after they've had their procedure done. I want you to experience all the wonderful things that will take place when you have a different outlook on your life. I want you to experience your magic moment... I want you to experience all the wonderful feelings that come from having breast augmentation. Maybe you see your life as a puzzle... and your perfect breasts as the missing piece that will finally "complete" you. And deep down, you feel that if you could just take care of that missing piece... everything else will come together and make many of your problems simply fade away. I know I used to feel this way. I think ANYONE who is unhappy with their breasts has felt this way at one time or another. It's comforting to think that one day you'll have the body you want... and have the confidence and self-esteem you want. If you're considering breast augmentation, you probably have a lot of questions. Honestly... most questions that come up are usually the same ones that almost ALL women have. So I'm going to talk about them here, for your peace of mind. Right below... you'll discover a list of the 10 most important "Questions and Answers" you'll need to know to make sure you're completely ready. Questions like... And I'm sure that's just a few of the questions you may be thinking to yourself. Not only did I draw from my own personal experience... but this list of questions was created from talking to literally hundreds of women about the problems they were facing when they went through their breast augmentation. I wanted to find out what their pre-surgery questions and concerns were... and what they really wanted to know. Upon going through this site, you're going to feel a sense of ease and comfort because you'll have a very clear picture of the entire process, all the questions to ask, and you'll know exactly what to expect each step of the way. I wanted this webpage to be a "roadmap" that shows women how to choose the best plastic surgeon... what questions to ask to make sure you're happy with your results... and make sure you can handle any situation that comes up. Based on the response I've already had from a lot of women who've used this site... I was able to do just that. Now I'd like to help you on your path. These questions come up in almost every single procedure... and they determine whether you go through the process smoothly... or with fear, worry, and anxiety. Answering them will save you a lot of wasted time and unnecessary heartache and will DRAMATICALLY increase your success, comfort, and happiness when you go through the process of finding the right surgeon for your breast augmentation. You'll know which options you want and which ones suit you best... so
you can finally get the sexy and attractive breasts that let you live the life you know you were meant to enjoy. Just a few of the things we'll go over below are... My goal is to help you avoid any of the mistakes that could cost you time, money, or your health... and to make life easier for you during this whole process... especially when it comes to finding the right surgeon and asking all the right questions. This site has helped literally thousands of women go through the process a lot easier.... it takes just a few minutes to read... and it will save you so much time and frustration. So let's begin... The first AND MOST IMPORTANT step in the breast augmentation process is knowing how to find the plastic surgeon that's right for you. After using www.BreastImplants411.com for my own breast augmentation, I realized this site was THE easiest way to find a qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon. And nearly EVERY woman I've shared this with has told me they were quickly able to locate and qualify a plastic surgeon in just minutes... and get the process going a lot faster and easier. This is your body and your life... so you really want to make sure you do it right and the first step is to choose a highly qualified and competent surgeon. First of all... not all surgeons are equally qualified! Board certification is essential, but even board certified plastic surgeons vary widely in qualifications and skills. And you've got better things to do with your time than wade through the yellow pages or surf the Internet for hours trying to find one on your own. What you really need to know are IMMEDIATE facts about a surgeon's education, training, board certification, and experience... or you may make a poor decision, waste valuable time and money, and risk having a terribly substandard result. Instead of spending weeks or months
trying to piece together everything you need to make sure you choose the best surgeon... you can find what you need right here on one website. Be sure to check out the qualifications of any prospective doctor and make sure they're a member of the American Board of Plastic Surgery. You should never be embarrassed or be hesistant to ask about a doctor's qualifications. Doctors understand that you're putting a lot of faith in their hands. In fact, MOST doctors are PROUD to talk about all of the years they put into advanced training, special qualifications, and certifications. And the doctors who are the most qualified board-certified plastic surgeons are going to be HAPPY you asked. Believe me, I've spoken with quite a few of them and this is a point they all agree on. The only doctors who are going to get offended if you ask about their credentials are the doctors who don't have the right ones. Look... this is your body, your procedure, your health, and your money. So you want the most qualified, patient, and caring doctor you can find. One that will answer ALL your questions... do a perfect job... AND treat you well. That's why selecting your surgeon is the single most important thing you can do - because the best surgeon is going to get you the best results. I've been lucky enough to have met and connected with several plastic surgeons in the last few years who are literally the VERY BEST when it comes to performing breast augmentation. The plastic surgeons listed on this site are some of the most highly trained in the world... having performed thousands of plastic surgery and breast enlargement procedures each year. They've produced stunning results for
women from all walks of life — mothers, athletes, brides, newly single, and more. They've consulted with women like you and understand the issues that are important to you. BreastImplants411.com wants the "best of the best"... so they set the bar high for the plastic surgeons listed on their site. They want you to feel confident and comfortable with the doctor you choose. In order for a plastic surgeon to even be considered and accepted on Breastimplants411.com, they must represent in writing that they're Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. They also must be actively licensed in all states within which they practice... and that neither their certification nor licensure is under investigation or suspension. That's what makes their doctors and their community different from all the others. This site has the "cream of the crop" when it comes to plastic surgeons. The BreastImplants411.com surgeon finder will help you find the most qualified one in your area. Many of them are known for celebrity plastic surgery. In addition to breast enhancement and breast lift procedures, they also perform Botox, tummy tuck, facelifts, mommy makeovers, rhinoplasty, and liposuction. This is the only site of its kind... and you won't find this process of finding board certified plastic surgeons anywhere else. Before this site... there was no single, comprehensive information resource for prospective breast augmentation patients. You'd have to do the exact thing you DO NOT WANT TO DO... which is to pick up the phonebook and start making calls blindly. With this site... you have ALL the surgeon's credentials, training, and experience... right at your fingertips to make sure you find the absolute BEST doctor for you. And that will save you a lot of time and frustration. A good plastic surgeon will tell you about the possible risks, the considerations to make, and any complications that could happen. It's their job to tell you everything that can go wrong. Not to scare you... but to better prepare you. The truth is... the surgeon wants you to be very satisfied and happy with your results. And part of being happy is being informed and knowing what to expect. They call it providing you with "realistic expectations." Look, you're a smart woman... you're not naïve. You know there are going to be risks going through this process. And being the intelligent woman you are... you already KNOW all the benefits a breast augmentation can give you - and at the same time, you recognize it's still surgery. As a woman who has experienced so many different emotions when going through my procedure... I learned that once you become informed about the process and know what to expect... much of the fear, anxiety, worry, and nervousness just disappears! So I just knew that if I showed you all the steps along the way.... and if I showed you all the risks to be aware of... you'd be better prepared and no longer have that fear of the unknown. And the more prepared you are before meeting with a surgeon, the better you'll know what to ask and how to evaluate the surgeon. After all, the whole purpose of the consult is to ask questions... get answers... and try to learn if this is the doctor you want doing your procedure. If a plastic surgeon doesn't give you the information you need... doesn't point out all of the risks... and doesn't answer all your questions... that could be a real red flag that the surgeon is MORE interested in selling you his services than providing you with the result YOU want. With this list... you'll know exactly what to ask so you can make an informed and confident choice... and you'll be ready to go in for your initial consult. You'll know how to ask about the placement, incision, type of implant and WHY the doctor is recommending something. You'll be able to tell if a surgeon REALLY understands the size and look you want. If you're not 100% sure that you want to schedule your breast augmentation surgery with this doctor... it's best to keep looking. Remember... the more you know... the better decisions you'll make. The better your decisions... the more likely you'll love your results! Let the doctor go over their usual consultation to see FIRST what the doctor plans on telling YOU. And if they don't cover something you want to know... then you can ask. This will let you see all of the things the doctor thinks are important and will give you a good idea of whether they're going to cover them on their own... or only if you bring them up. This will tell you A LOT about a doctor. From my experience of having breast augmentation... as well as talking to hundreds of other women about their surgeries... I've learned a few more things you should ask a prospective doctor. Unfortunately, most women DON'T ask these questions... either because they just don't know to ask them...or they're afraid to bring them up! 1. Who's going to pay for complications if something goes wrong? 2. If problems or complications occur that lead to more surgery or procedures... what part will the doctor be responsible for and cover... and what part will you have to pay for? 3. Ask if they have hospital privileges so they have a place that they can take a patient to if they have a problem 4. What's the backup plan if something goes wrong, who pays if there's a capsular contracture, what's the time frame, how much expense would there be? 5. What's the warranty and replacement policy of the manufacturer of the breast implant I am choosing? Once you find a qualified doctor and you've scheduled your initial consultation... it's time to start thinking about the size, type, and style of implant that will give you the look and feel you want. Breast implants can be smooth or textured, filled with saline or silicone, and can be round or "teardrop" shaped. Each have their benefits and drawbacks. Asking for adequate size is one of the things many women are embarrassed about. In fact, the number one "wish" from women who've had breast augmentation is "I wish I had gone just a little bit bigger." Keep in mind... your plastic surgeon will help you determine what size LOOKS best and is most appropriate for you... based upon their experience and YOUR body. With that said... it's still ENTIRELY up to you to step up and tell the doctor exactly what you want. Ultimately, it's your decision and your body that you have to live with and look at in the mirror every day. If you're looking for that natural, proportionate look... if you really want to have AWESOME looking breasts... it's important you communicate to your doctor EXACTLY what you want. To get pictures of breasts that you'd like yours to look like... you can look at literally thousands of before and after pictures on the BreastImplants411.com photo gallery. You can also browse the Internet, clip and save pictures from catalogs, look through Playboy magazines, or check out before and after pics in the surgeon's office. Look for pictures of women that have bodies similar to yours. Nude is best if you want to show them to your surgeon as breasts you'd like to have. Also consider your daily activity level. Do you run, jog, walk, do push ups, golf, bowl, or bench press? Go out and buy a bra in the cup size you'd like to be and fill it up so you can see what it's like to live with that. Try doing some of these activities with sizers in place and see how your new chest size would impact those activities. You can at least figure out if they limit your range of motion, bounce too much, or get in the way. If they do, you need to decide if it's something you can live with and get used to. Once your surgery is done... it's going to cost thousands of dollars to get it re-done to a different size. Not only that... each additional surgery increases the risk for complications. Another thing... if your skin envelope has been stretched by pregnancy, you'll need a big enough implant to fill the envelope adequately for the best results. If you haven't been pregnant, the doctor may suggest enlarging your breast proportionate to your figure, filling the breast enough to create a nice-looking, proportioned result. One of the most important choices in your augmentation is choosing a pocket location that provides the best tissue coverage over your implant. Your body type, amount of existing breast tissue, and the look you want will help you determine which pocket location is best. Very thin tissues overlying any part of a breast implant can mean visible edges, visible rippling or wrinkling, and excessive stretching. There's no sense in dealing with complications like bottoming out, double bubble, symmastia (uniboob) and other problems if they can be avoided. That can be emotionally and financially straining. If you have very little breast tissue... it's more likely you'll want to "go behind the muscle". When the implant is in front of the muscle, there won't be much breast tissue to cover the implant, so more of the implant roundness will be visible. If more of the implant is covered by muscle... it's harder to see and feel. If you have some breast tissue... you have more of a choice between above and below the muscle. Here are a few questions you can ask your prospective surgeon... to make sure you get someone you're comfortable with. Did the surgeon answer the above questions to your satisfaction? Like I mentioned earlier... one of the most common issues is that involving proper certification. If I were you... I'd always make sure my plastic surgeon is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). You can use the BreastImplants411.com surgeon finder to make sure any prospective surgeon you're considering is indeed board certified by the ABPS. Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure. And like all surgical procedures... there are potential risks. The good news is... most problems usually don't occur very often and they're correctable. For me personally... the rewards and emotional benefits of getting it done far outweighed the risks. A few of the risks... just so you're aware of them if they come up... are rupturing, deflation, capsular contracture, infection, excessive pain, hematoma (inner bleeding), scarring, and Mammary asymmetry (breasts being different sizes or shapes).
During your initial consult... these are risks your prospective doctor should inform you about. If the doctor doesn't bring them up... you may want to ask! Many women have a fear of anesthesia and going under. Again, it's the fear of the unknown... that you're not in control. When considering anesthesia, the best choice is what's safest and allows your surgeon the greatest degree of control during your operation. If you have local anesthesia, you're not asleep. With general anesthesia... you're asleep... you're less likely to remember the surgery... and your surgeon has more control over a number of factors that affect your outcome. Before surgery, ask your surgeon what type of anesthesia you'll have and who will be giving it... such as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist? Ask about surgery time, anesthesia, time in the recovery room, and how long until you'll return home on the day of surgery. All of these factors will tell you a lot about how much anesthesia you'll get and when you can expect to feel normal again. How quickly you're able to leave after the procedure varies from surgeon to surgeon. Most procedures... on average... take about an hour and then you go to recovery for a while before you're ready to go home. Before your surgery, ask questions about your recovery. No matter what a surgeon tells you about his experience, expertise or credentials... your recovery tells the real story. The less trauma and bleeding during surgery, the faster and easier your recovery. And the better you follow instructions, the easier you'll recover. If your breast skin is very tight and has never been stretched by pregnancy... you'll feel more tightness and tenderness. Some women have an ability to bounce back a lot easier. Others take a little longer. Not only that... some women follow their surgeons instructions better than others. Some people have surgery on a Friday and are back to work on Monday. Most people start raising their arms the next day. Some people return to full, normal activities within a few days... others take a week or two to get back to full activities. Avoid athletic activities and severe emotional stress for at least two weeks following surgery. These can increase your blood pressure... which can cause internal bleeding in your breasts. This could mean a higher risk of capsular contracture and need for additional surgery. For the most part... you can start doing less strenuous stuff... like driving a car, going to work, or running errands... after a couple of days. But anything more strenuous... like exercise... should wait 2 weeks. You can usually start lower limb exercises after 2 weeks... running after 4 weeks, and upper body exercises after six weeks... but again, ask your doctor. Don't manipulate the breast sexually for three weeks... There are many day-to-day activities that you won't be able to do right away. But if you can't return to normal, simple, easy activities within two weeks, it's best to give your doctor a call. Again, this is why it helps to have a friend, family member, or significant other to go through the process with you. This is a surgery and like any other surgery... your top priority is rest and relaxation... to give your body time to heal. If you strain yourself... you may take longer to recover. The initial stages after your breast augmentation may cause you some stress because your breasts may look and feel different than what you're used to. But no matter what they look like... it's important that you don't panic or worry because over the next few days and weeks... your breasts will settle and they'll look and feel like they're supposed to. Mood swings and even a depressed feeling after your surgery are common and completely normal. It's important that you're aware of it and even expect it... so it doesn't catch you off guard. It's normal to be on an emotional roller coaster... especially after you've spent so much time obsessing about boobs... researching online, and looking at "before and after" pictures. You're no longer focused on the surgery... you're not making decisions and preparing for the augmentation... you can't be very active... and you have a lot more "down time" to let your mind wander. Either way... if you feel the post-op blues or an overwhelming feeling of "Oh my God, what have I just done?"... just realize that it's normal and it happens. Things WILL get back to normal for you. Chances are... the BreastImplants411.com forum has EXACTLY what you need to make yourself feel more confident, relaxed, and sure. Not only that... I learned a lot about "boobie greed" on the forum. This is when you wish you had gone bigger with your implants. For some women, it doesn't come into play. For others... it's something that happens once in a while and is only temporary. For those very few... it's always there and they want larger breasts. When you feel like you're experiencing "boobie greed", wear something form-fitting that shows off your breasts. When you find yourself dwelling on the negatives, just think about how much better you're going to feel in your life when you're showing off your new breasts! Just have patience because time will solve most... if not ALL... of your initial concerns and worries. With that said, never hesitate to call your plastic surgeon if you're worried about something. Follow-up Visits with Your Surgeon Most surgeons like to check patients within the first few days following surgery, then at three to four weeks, three to four months, one year, and then every two years. Even if the visit is for a routine checkup, your surgeon will be able to take better care of you and identify potential problems sooner. So it really does pay to show up. Take advantage of your surgeon's efforts to take the best possible care of you, no matter how well you think you're doing. From one woman to another... I can speak from personal experience that we're not always honest with ourselves... as to what we really want when it comes to implant size. That's why a lot of women initially say they want B-cups... but when they look at pictures... they keep saying they like the D-cups!. A good plastic surgeon has to dig out of the patient's mind what they really want... and determine if they can meet their expectations. Because some women have a fear that they won't look how they REALLY WANT to look after surgery. So it's important that you go into your procedure with realistic expectations of what will look good on you and will also fit YOUR unique body type. Say you'd like to have full D-cup breasts... but you're forty-five years old, have never had children, and you're a workout fanatic with almost no body fat and no chest. This is going to be VERY tough to get what you want... because your body isn't going to allow it! Not only that... even if you're 100% sure you want those D-cups... If you get implants large enough to produce the D-cup you want... you may pay the price with visible implant edges, more sagging, visible rippling, possibly back pain, or other complications. Unless you want more surgeries and more costs... choose an implant that won't cause more problems than it's worth. As you get older... your tissue will lose some of its elasticity. Your implant will stretch your tissues around your breast and the skin will stretch only a moderate amount without permanently damaging or thinning. The larger the implant or the tighter your tissues... the more pressure the implant exerts on your tissues... causing discomfort. The more clearly you define your expectations and the better you communicate your desires to your surgeon, the more likely you'll achieve what you want... now and in the future. You'll find that surgeons' thoughts on bandages vary greatly... so just ask your plastic surgeon. The tendency of implants to ride up is usually due to excessive tissue pushing on the lower implant, the implant was positioned too high at surgery, or the implant is too large for the patient's tissue. If you're thinking about a larger implant and have tight tissues, a binder or strap may keep your implant in place or to push it upward, downward, inward, and outward. Special Bras To Support Your Breasts Some women love bras... others hate them! Some surgeons say you need them... others don't. Whatever your surgeon tells you to do... do it. They know what they're doing and it's better to follow their instructions because you don't want complications that come from ignoring your surgeon's instructions. And please... don't listen to your friends who tell you what "their surgeon" recommends, because that recommendation may stem from how THEIR surgeon uniquely performs the procedure. If your surgeon says it's fine either way... then it's your choice. If you're more comfortable wearing a bra, or if you want to create a certain look, go for it. On the other hand, if you're more comfortable not wearing a bra, don't wear one. The larger and heavier your implants, the more gravity will pull and stretch the skin over time, causing your breasts to sag. Breasts that are supported some of the time sag less than breasts that are supported none of the time. So if you want to keep your breasts perkier and avoid more sagging than necessary... you may want to wear a bra more often. You will need a bra, however, when you're doing any activity that causes your breasts to bounce... such as running, jogging, or aerobics. Bouncing puts more stress on the skin in your lower breast and causes it to stretch more rapidly and to sag. Supporting your breasts with a bra can really decrease the amount of sagging... especially during activities that stress the skin. During your visits with surgeons, you'll get a breakdown of specific costs from each. If you want the best results, cost shouldn't be your primary determining factor in choosing your surgeon.
This is your health, your body, and your life. So choose based on qualifications... and then think about the costs. Like everything else in life... you get what you pay for. Some surgeons offer lower prices because their work isn't as high-quality as someone who charges more. I've learned that the quality difference can be amazing... from one surgeon to another. Think back to other times in your life. Was the cheapest choice always the best one? I know for me it wasn't. The "best of the best" usually cost more. Most of the qualified and board certified surgeons don't offer extremely low prices... because they view their work as high-value and high-quality. If you get quoted a price that is a lot lower than other surgeons you consult... you should be careful. Here's a rough breakdown of the costs you're looking at for you first-time breast augmentation surgery: Surgeon fees: This fee varies with the qualifications and experience of the surgeon you choose. Cost range: $2,500–$5,000; average $3,500. Fees for lab work prior to surgery: Some basic lab tests... like a blood test... are usually required before an augmentation... even if you're perfectly healthy. To make the surgery safe as possible, have ANY test your surgeon recommends. It's not worth taking risks. Costs of lab tests range: $150–$300; average $200. EKG fees: If you're over 40 years old or have a history of any type of heart problem, your surgeon may require an EKG. Cost range: $150–$300 (including interpretation by a cardiologist); average $200. Mammogram fees: Some surgeons require routine mammograms before a breast augmentation regardless of your age or family history of breast cancer... and some don't feel they're necessary. If your surgeon recommends one... have your mammogram at a breast center where they're familiar with breast augmentation patients. Cost range: $100–$350; average $150. Surgery facility fees: These are fees that a hospital or outpatient surgery facility charges for the facility and supplies. The only way to lower this fee a lot is to use fewer or cheaper supplies, have fewer or less qualified personnel, or to have less equipment or cheaper equipment. Again, it doesn't pay to skimp on costs when it comes to your safety and well-being. Cost range: $1,200–$2,000; average $1,500. Costs of implants: Implant costs vary widely... depending on the type, style, and manufacturer. Cheaper implants are usually cheaper quality. If an implant fails sooner because it was cheaper quality, you didn't save money. Ask about implant costs and manufacturer before you decide on a certain one. Cost range for saline: $800–$1,600 per pair; average $1,200. Silicone-gel-filled implants cost more than saline-filled implants... usually about $1,000 more. Anesthesia: Fees for anesthesia vary according to the type of anesthesia (general versus local) and the level of person giving the anesthesia. Most facilities require that certified registered nurse anesthetists or M.D. anesthesiologists administer anesthesia. Cost range: $250–$750; average $350. Medications: Costs of medications required before and after surgery vary from surgeon to surgeon. The most common medications required for breast augmentation surgery are antibiotics, nausea meds, and pain medications. Cost range: $15–$200; average, less than $40. Adding the costs above, you'll find that the average augmentation can be anywhere from $4,500 to $11,000... with an average of $6,000. Again, this is just on average. The costs vary greatly depending on WHERE you live, the amount of competition in your area, and the doctor who does your surgery. If there's anything I can recommend to you... go with the doctor with the best credentials, qualifications, and proof (before and after pictures)... as well as someone you LIKE, are comfortable with, get along with, and that UNDERSTANDS the look you want. Please don't base your decision on cost alone because that never works out for the best. This means don't pick someone just because they are the MOST expensive or the LEAST. And sure... this may seem like a lot of money to you... but what price can you put on your happiness, confidence, and how you feel about yourself every single day of your life? Look at it this way... Say that your breast augmentation will be $6,000. Again, that's just an average. That breaks down to be about $16.00 a day over the course of a year. That's about the price of a lunch at a decent restaurant. Again, what price can you put on being happier, looking better, and feeling better about yourself? There are several myths associated with breast augmentation and I want to give you the truth about each one. There's a ton of evidence and studies that show breast implants don't increase breast cancer risk or cause breast cancer. Breast implants don't weaken your immune system either. Breast-feeding is safe. Your breast milk could absorb some of the silicone from breast implants... but the amount is not considered harmful to your baby. Breast milk is the best thing you can feed your baby; the Institute of Medicine encourages women with breast implants to breast-feed if they are able to do so. My good friend breast fed twins for 11 months after her augmentation. I breast fed both of my girls and it was a really good bonding experience. I wasn't "blessed" with large breasts... to say the least. In fact, I didn't even qualify as an A cup... so I've always been insecure and self-conscious about my body. I can remember back in grade school. I began to notice how different I looked from all the other girls. I used to wear a large jacket to school... even during the summer... to hide the fact that I didn't have any breasts. I remember being constantly picked on because of my small chest size. I was laughed at and called a boy. Even though it bothered me, I just laughed along with everyone. I waited and waited for my breasts to grow through my teenage years... but they never did. A year would pass and I'd still have the breasts of a 12 year old. I never dated because I always feared that a guy would reject me when he discovered my boy-like chest. I always kept quiet and shy so no attention would be brought to me. I've always wanted bigger boobs and thought for many years about having a boob job... but never really put a lot of time into researching it. I thought it was only for the very wealthy or something movie stars did. But since I was always depressed with my body image... I was sick of not filling out any of the clothes I wanted to wear. And I was always envious of girls who filled their shirts out better than me. The self-consciousness continued through high school. The prom and homecoming scared me to death because I was ashamed and afraid of how I'd look in a dress. In fact, I remember when my friends and I went for a dress fitting for the prom. The dresses were very low cut and being barely an A cup... I was devastated and left the fitting crying all the way home. Throughout college... I wished I could wear the tube tops all of my friends wore during summer or the nice triangle top bikinis. But I'd wear big shirts to hide the fact that I had no breasts. Or I'd wear padded push-up bras if the situation called for it. Prior to getting married, I didn't let my fiancée see my breasts. I was afraid he'd run if he saw them. When I got married and had kids, I actually had breasts for a short time while I was nursing. But that didn't last long because they soon shrunk back down to so-called "normal" size. I could no longer fill out the maternity clothes and I missed the special attention I had received while breastfeeding. My husband also seemed unhappy about the change... making my low self-esteem even worse. I didn't feel sexually attractive because of my small breasts. I was embarrassed to be seen, even by my husband, unless fully covered. So it really affected our sex life. I think the age of thirty was a turning point in my life. I finally got sick and tired of trying to pretend I wasn't disappointed every time I looked in the mirror... or tried on new clothes... or went out in public. I wanted a change that would make ME feel good about myself. I figured that after having 4 children and dedicating my life to them for years... it was my time to shine! I didn't want to wonder "what if" for the rest of my life. I realized that if I didn't make a change... I'd be left with these breasts forever. So I began researching breast augmentation online. I had so many fears and worries though... because I had no idea what to expect. "What if the surgery didn't go right, what if they looked fake, what would my parents and friends think?" In search of help... I came across BreastImplants411.com. What amazed me were all the before and after pictures that I found of women with breasts like mine, or women who had very little breast tissue. They were moms, businesswomen, college students, married, single, dating and loving it... you name it! And what was most refreshing was they were normal women of virtually every age who just wanted more confidence and to feel better about themselves, just like I wanted. I checked out the forum and felt as though I finally found people who understood ME. It was a place I could get reliable information, hear stories from other women having the procedure, and have a support system for my decision. I researched everything there was to know... including the risks and benefits, the different kinds of implants, the costs, follow-up care, and more. I found out how to prevent capsular contracture and the different methods of massaging.
I wouldn't have purchased the warranty if I hadn't seen it mentioned on the forum. Best of all... Breast Implants 411 led me straight to my doctor, who, in my opinion, was more than qualified because he was double board certified! After finding the surgeon on Breast Implants411 and talking to the girls, I got up the nerve to call for a consultation with this doctor. It took a lot of courage to make that first call. My stomach would get butterflies and I'd feel sick. But I finally picked up the phone and made the call... and I must say, it changed my life forever. The day of the consult... I was nervous and anxious. But I went to my surgeon well informed and able to tell him what I wanted. It helped that my husband was there to offer me support. I brought in some photos of women who had amazing breasts... breasts that I was in awe of and maybe even a little jealous of. I explained that this was exactly how I wanted my breasts to look. We discussed my feelings, why I was considering the surgery, and why it was important to me. He listened to all of my questions and concerns... even repeated what I wanted right back to me... and I could just tell he genuinely understood what I wanted. I was worried that a male doctor wouldn't understand what I was feeling about my body image. Boy... was I wrong. I felt comfortable because the site recommended him... and I was reassured by his credentials and felt very at ease after meeting with him. My anxiety and worry just seemed to fall away. I guess it's like that with a lot of things - what you imagine is often a lot worse than something really is. He took the time to explain the procedures in detail, step-by-step and he gave me all of my different options. He was very patient and kind... he calmed all of my fears... and he reassured me that he could give me the look I always wanted... but also kept my expectations in check. I tried on the bra with different implant sizes and we talked about possible complications. We discussed putting implants in to bring me to a C cup... and decided that round, smooth implants placed under the muscle via a Periarealor incision were the way to go. Over the next few days, I was on this emotional rollercoaster... going from sheer excitement... to being scared, nervous, anxious and wondering if I had made the right choice. I spoke with girls on the BreastImplants411.com forum... women who successfully went through the surgery and were happier after. This was an amazing help in easing my anxiety. It really made me feel that everything would be okay. Things went quickly and I had my surgery 2 weeks later. The entire process... from start to finish... took just about 45 minutes! After surgery... I felt no pain whatsoever (probably thanks to the medication) and had very moderate pain after that. The day after surgery... I went in for my first post-op appointment and saw my new breasts for the first time. They looked so natural and I felt so feminine... they were just like the real thing. I was so happy! All those years of wanting breasts, and there they were. It was surreal. I probably stared in the mirror for two hours that first day. I was incredibly happy because they were simply GORGEOUS and perfect! I could NOT have picked a better surgeon because he did a superb job. I was showering by day 2 and went out to dinner with friends by day 4. I was back to work in a week. I can honestly say for the first time in my life that I loved my body! I have never felt better about myself. My self-confidence has improved by leaps and bounds. Going bra shopping is a blast now... knowing that my cleavage is real and there's no need for padded bras or push-ups anymore! This site helped me so much. In fact... without the site and the support of my "boobie sisters"... I would have been lost! When I went in for surgery I was extremely informed about the procedure. I wanted to look sexy and pretty.... with a good bit of cleavage. And now... I had the look I wanted! I'm no longer embarrassed, I can wear whatever, and I absolutely love my new look. Friends I haven't seen in years are telling me I look great. An old boyfriend said I looked like a movie star... saying "Wow, the years been good to you!" It's amazing what compliments and a little attention do to your self-esteem. This surgery truly changed my life and I'm so glad I made the decision to go for it. It was the best thing I have ever done for myself. Right after having my surgery... I couldn't wait to show my husband how I looked in my new bikini! He was blown away! I was happy that he was happy. And of course... our sex life is a whole lot better too because I'm not so self-conscious anymore... I don't think you can give me 5 times what the surgery cost for me to go back to the old, flat me. In fact, when I bought my first bathing suit, I cried when I was trying it on at the store. I couldn't believe the beautiful image looking back at me from the mirror was me! When spring and summer rolls around each year... I feel sexy again when going to the beach. I can actually wear swim suits without darting for a towel to hide my small chest. I love the fact that I can finally wear tighter shirts and bathing suits that reveal my shape and not hide it with baggy clothes! I can wear clothing that's a little more revealing now because I'm built to fit into it. I'm able to wear beautiful low cut dresses. I fill out my bras and tops a lot better. It's now been 2 years since I've had my augmentation... and I STILL feel happy, self confident, and just FANTASTIC! This has been a life changing decision and I wouldn't change a thing. I'm outgoing and social and totally comfortable around people now. It was actually more emotionally empowering than I expected. And it's not just bigger boobs, I now have a more feminine figure, a healthier attitude, a better wardrobe, a bigger life, and more self-esteem than I've ever had. I even joined a gym. It feels fabulous to finally have invested in myself. I think a lot of women say this, but the only thing I regret is not doing this sooner. Take it from me personally... your new boobs will give you that boost in confidence you need to feel great about yourself. And when you're happy and confident with yourself... people just respond to you differently and your upbeat demeanor can make other people happier too!
